mainstream, indie and underground
2004-07-13 | 2:50 p.m.

it isn't much i'm writting in here these days...the reason: not much is happening.

oh well. since last time i wrote in here, i've been to a party. daniel threw a party for all his friends last wedensday..i'm surprised that he see me as one of his friends..but that's ok with me. it was a great party. i rode on my bicycle down there (about 10 km from here), it was nice..i found out that line and signe did the same and we bicycled together at sunset. tired and drunk. it was a really beautiful sunset. wow. i woke up with a smile later that day.

last friday i went to copenhagen with my cousin trine and my littlebrother. we were going to tivoli with the whole family. it was a really funny day. just like being a child again.

i woke up this morning with a bit weird draft in my head. it was about how you describe the "relationship" between mainstream, indie and underground music. it isn't that logic though, because it's often difficult to make a distinction between the three themes. and it isn't only in the music it shows, it is in every culture on different levels. i just understand it better in the music.

mainstream: people stand with their bag turned to the art. in endlessness (the univers)

indie: behind the mainstream there is indie. people in mainstream could turn around and discover indie if they would because there's only a wall of glass between. but they'll never understand it.

underground: beneath indie is the underground music. every once in a while the underground music finds its way to the mainstream right away. but most of the time the indie and the underground stick together.

hmm..maybe it was a bit difficult to understand my theory there. but i hope you know what i mean. or else i'll just have to try and draw it ro you sometime. heh.
