time for some music
2007-02-18 | 6:28 p.m.

okay so i am guilty as charged. i watched *boogie countdown earlier today. and to my surprise (which it maybe shouldn't have been) the german band tokio hotel went number 1 again this week with their new shitty single. they were also number one with their old single (where do i know these insignificant things from?!) as far as i know, and i really don't get it. 'cause they sing in german, they are veeeery young (three of them (they are a four piece band) are under 18!) and their music doesn't bring anything new. it's just ordinary rock in the rebel-ish way. the reason why i choose to make an entry about this shit is because i had a chat with my cousin yesterday about the same band. she called them may flies...just like hanson etc. i also thought they'd only get huge with this one single. but it seems like it's continuing. unfortunately. 'cause it also means that when i walk around downtown i will for at least six months from now still meet these very young boys having the same ugly hairdo as the leadsinger (probably with white and pink stripes in the fringe (ydrk!)). black hair seems to be the new bleached hair. sadly. i conclude that after having seen all these pop-people dying their hair black and after having seen some of nik and jay's new video where one of them have dyed his hair black. it's weird after so many years where the trend has been bleached hair...

anyway...music that rocks me at the moment must be:
bell x1 - music in mouth
bell x1 - "music in mouth"
gorky's - how i long feel that summer
gorky's zygotic mynci - "how i long to feel that summer in my heart"
the cooper - kick...
the cooper temple clause - "kick up the fire, and let the flames break loose"

numbers i prefer to listen to on my ipod:
"we share our mothers health" - the knife
"talking to a brick wall" - the cooper temple clause
"walk on me" - ben kweller

speaking of my ipod...i experienced something yesterday, that frightened the hell out of me (hah.. i sound like a freak now). i was going for a walk to get some groceries and had made a playlist with the divine comedy, then out of the blue it froze. i couldn't do anything. at first i panicked and tried everything to make it work but nothing worked. so i thought it was dead...you know...gone forever. after 2 and a half years loyal companionship...gone. so i got sad. but when i finally got home again i decided to give it a last try and ask for help. and it helped. my ipod is now up and working again. it could have been typical though... in hard times like these with a lot of huge bills and low on cash that your ipod would crash. but it didn't. phew!

(*for those of you who doesn't live in denmark i can tell you that boogie is a weekly programme showing the ten most popular music videos of the week (veeery mainstream and actually not a thing i should be watching))
