overestimated holidays
2007-04-09 | 1:22 a.m.

i may offend someone when i say this...but i think the easter is a very overestimated tradition. i'm not a big fan of holidays. christmas is the only tradition that i'm still quite fond of. but maybe that's because we've always had a lot of different traditions connected with christmas. not particularly the christianize kind of christmas but our own cosy little traditions which we've had since me and my cousins were 2 or 3 years old. my grandmother was the only one trying to make some kind of family traditions in the easter when she was alive...but the traditions didn't survive her decease. so to speak.

another thing that has irritated me a lot lately with all these holidays. is that the young people always find it as an excuse for celebrate and make a lot of noise. even tonight, sunday night (!!!), there's a party going on down the hall. a loud one. aaaand they smoke in the staircase which i find rather disrespectful. there has been a party in this building every day since wednesday and i'm getting pretty fed up with it by now. i've hung some "no smoking" signs up in the staircase and helle and i wrote some complaints down the other day. are the young people of today really brought up so badly that they don't know how to show some respect to other people?!

anyway...just saw my top ten for the past week. pretty funny if you ask me:
1. entakt
2. gorky's zygotic mynci
3. the beatles
4. tim christensen
5. pulp
6. scott walker
7. ryan adams
8. lunarspeed
9. the clash
10. rufus wainwright
