nerd of the evening.
2008-11-01 | 11:26 p.m.

i've been home all day listening to music and geeking around with a lot of indifferent things when i was suppose to focus on modernity and self-identity. but i've had a good time and really enjoyed my own company.

i had a busy night last night. first i had birthday dinner with c and all her girlfriends. boy did i feel out of place! but hey...i was the house dj until i had to leave the place because i had to go and photograph a boring concert at godset. which was a bad thing...because the music i had placed by the stereo before i left was lovely things as sufjan stevens, teitur, bodebrixen and tim ten yen. this morning i found katie melua, kelly clarkson, depeche mode, alanis morissette and emotions by the stereo....damn! i'm glad i left. and still i'm sad i left...'cause it had been a great opportunity to teach those girls a thing or two about music! anyways...after godset i went home to s who held a housewarming with a zoo theme with her new room-mates. there i met e and had a long good talk with him about the student house...i hoped that was the last words i had to say about the student house that evening. but i was wrong...everytime i met some new people they started talking about the student house...i started feeling like a celebrity who's constant confronted with whatever is his/her work. so i gave up around 2am and went home to bed.

this evening i've spent watching some documentaries about prince, madonna and michael jackson as pop idols and phenomenons. really exciting and a bit inspiring if you ask me...at least it has brought up some thoughts about my bachelor project. yay! one of the documentaries about this fan group called 'camp jackson' where the fans had given up there normal livings (quit their jobs and moved across the country) to follow the trial against michael jackson on full-time! - crazy huh!? in many ways fascinating to see how much one man can mean to so many individuals...

these videos are just a little evidence to how much michael jackson can inspire musicians today...

of some reason i couldn't embed the michael jackson video...but you can watch it here.

and here's the strongly inspired soul:

i have never really listened to michael jackson...nor the other two, madonna and prince so i wont express anything about their music. but they're all three very fascinating phenomenons each in their own way and then again...hmm.
