kolding has grown dark
2009-06-15 | 11:05 p.m.

i get more and more used to the idea of living in copenhagen. several of months before i even go there. i guess i've just met a lot of limitations about kolding lately and realised that kolding is a town you will move to when you're old and have kids and so on (not in my case i think though!). here's so many middle aged people trying to be young and middle aged people just being middle aged and boring. i know i prejudice a lot here...but it's a fact. all the signs are there... godset have this very old fashioned programme every season with predictable names and only a very few new shots. they'd had a lot of heavy metal lately...but that's only because two of the members of the booking group loves heavy metal.

this city has a country festival, loves lars lilholt and every summer there's a concept by the lake at the castle where middle-aged music is playing every week. no wonder why pitstop is struggling to get the needed money support and gather people to the cool concerts unless there's free entrance. people are narrow minded...they only want to hear what they already know. i've struggled to get people to open their ears for new music at the student house the past 2 years...and i feel that i get almost nowhere. i had a discussion with one from klostret earlier today...he told me that it ain't no use to do concerts that people wont show up to. there's not economy for that...

only half a year ago i remember sitting at the top of the tower at koldinghus together with A enjoying the view over kolding talking about how he admired my love for my native town...and i really did love it. i still do..but it has grown into a love/hate relationship since.

i want to get out of this city...!
